There's no way to either prove or disprove God's existence because one of God's traits is that he is beyond our comprehension.
Not even a single trace of God can be found in our universe, which means that if he exists, he exists outside of our realm. Religious people like to use the concept of causality to prove that God exists, they say that if the universe exists there must be a creator for it because everything has a cause. Well, it's kinda true but there's still a small flaw in this argument. Everything has a cause indeed, the chair that you sit on or the wardrobe that you store your clothes in were definitely designed and built in a factory by team of workers, they didn't just appear out of thin air, the cars that are parked on the street were definitely parked by someone, the burger that you order from mcdonalds was definitely cooked and prepared by someone, but we're talking about manmade objects here, the universe is a whole different story and it cannot simply be explained with causality. We know that these objects were made by a creator because we as humans witnessed the process with our own eyes and we know how these objects were created (fast food was prepared by a cooker, chair was built by a woodworker, car was parked by someone) but we never witnessed a universe being created before, causality is merely a law that exists in of our universe, we have no idea if it also exists outside of our universe or not. We only know that a big bang happened but we don't know what came before it, what came before the big bang is something that even science cannot explain, it's a mystery. So you cannot apply the cause and effect law with full certainty on something that we don't understand the nature of, but you can't completely disregard the possibility of cause and effect taking place for something that we don't understand the nature of either (like atheists do). If causality didn't exist before time that means it's not impossible that the universe created itself out of the nothingness, and if causality existed before time that means there's a creator for the universe. Is there a way we can possibly find out whether any of these two theories are true or not? No (Because I already explained above that what came before time/big bang is incomprehensible and cannot be explained), and that's why agnosticism is the only logical position.
