Too lazy to make a TLDR/DNR – Just enjoy the read, it’s good. I promise.

Introduction
I just began to re-read the Bible again as I’m trying to regain my spiritual life back, and I decided to start from the beginning (Genesis). As I’m listening to the story of Adam and Eve, I remembered the question brought up numerous times by non-believing debaters: Why do we have to suffer because of what someone else (Adam and Eve) did millions of years ago? At first I wanted to brush it off and keep on listening, but then I started to question it myself. Why do we have to suffer from someone else's wrongdoing? After a while, I finally realized; the reason is because in a sense, WE ARE ADAM AND EVE. And no I don’t mean it at a biological level – I mean we would have done the exact same thing because of a human’s lack of truly being satisfied. Once I realized that, the whole story made sense. Let me elaborate.

When you really think about it, most global problems and immorality/sin derives from the 7 Deadly Sins (Pride, Greed, Wrath, Envy, Lust, Gluttony, and Sloth), which also derive from the want of satisfaction. To list some infamous examples:
  1. The majority of deadly wars/conflicts start because of the leaders being unsatisfied with control, land, money and power (Pride, Wrath, Greed).
  2. Prime examples (as of now):
  3. Cobalt Slavery in The Democratic Public of the Congo
  4. Israel vs Palestine
  5. Russia vs Ukraine
2. Porn and fornication addictions arise because of one's crave to have that good feeling once more; they can't be satisfied with just ONE orgasm from just ONE girl (Online or Physical), they need just ONE more, leading into a cycle (Lust, Envy) .
b. Prime examples:

  1. Delusional high standards from both men and women,
  2. Hookup, One-Night-Stand, Slaying Culture.
  3. People cheating on their significant other (Who was most likely a good person), for a temporary ‘good time.’
  4. People purposely destroy happy/successful relationships in spite of jealousy.
  5. BlackPill, RedPill, GreenPill, etc.
3. Billionaires and Millionaires, who are ALREADY financially stable and well-off, enslave the unfortunate and marginalized to gain more. (Greed, Sloth, Gluttony, Wrath)
  1. Prime examples:
    1. Citizens in Congo (children as young as 5) being enslaved for the financial gain of multi-million dollar brands (Apple, Tesla, etc)
    2. The delusional ‘American Dream’ the wealthy attempt US citizens to blindly achieve as it fills their pockets even more (Wage-Slave for 40 years, make children, be in debt, get married, etc.)
    3. The unethical and competitive business culture, where CEO’s try strenuously yet secretly destroy each other to be on top.
And there’s much, much more examples I could talk about, but that isn’t the topic of this discussion.

Now you’re probably thinking: How does the story of Adam and Eve talk about this? Why isn’t it just because they didn’t respect God’s word? Let me clarify.

If you don’t know about the story of Adam and Eve, I’ll give a brief explanation: God created the first male and female and only instructed them to NOT eat from a certain tree (Genesis 2:15–17). It went well for a moment, until a serpent (Satan) appeared and tempted them to consume the forbidden fruit from the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1–7). This created the introduction of human sin. Now that you have a surface-level understanding, Let’s go in depth.

Analysis
As emphasized previously, Adam and Eve were the FIRST and ONLY humans on the planet – indicating they had everything the world had to offer in its purest, untouched form, with the will to do anything they please. (Genesis 1:26–28). Keep that in mind, EVERYTHING.
You’d think one would be satisfied with the gift of dominion over everything alive and not, right? There’s no way someone with everything could want more… right? Let’s see.
Well technically, yes, Adam and Eve were satisfied for a moment. Until a serpent approached Eve and talked about God’s forbidden tree.

“1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,

3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.

5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” (Genesis 3:1-12).

The conversational sequence is an excellent example of what I believe the story signifies. Before the serpent came unto Eve whilst in the Garden, she never had the intention or urge to eat fruit from God’s tree – She simply Adam and God’s word without question. But, once she perceived the deceptions of the serpent (You could be better than God, You can have more, You won’t die, you will have all knowledge conceivable, and more untruths delivered by Satan), she began to crave more. She no longer was pleased with everything God had provided to her. She wanted to know what it felt like to have more than everything – so she consumed the fruit from the tree. And so did Adam.

The crave for more then carried on throughout thousands of generations. Years of betrayal, covetousness, jealousy, outrage and violence, laziness, vanity, hoarding, and more unjust acts perpetrated by mankind led up to the situations we live in as a collective. Intrusive and Demonic thoughts influence us to do anything to achieve more and become better – causing a Monkey-See-Monkey-Do effect, generating more immoral corruption and inhumane wickedness.

Conclusion

Overall, this question and story was something I didn’t expect to go in depth to. I usually skimmed over the story of Adam and Eve as it didn’t provoke much thought. To me it was ‘humans came, got fooled, and evil arose because the serpent is the master deceiver :feelsuhh::feelsuhh::feelsuhh:’ and nothing else – it's not so much the case anymore however.
This should be a lesson to all believers and non-believers that to really read and understand. I’ve read the Book of Genesis numerous times and never thought this could be a possibility of the story’s true message.

If you have any questions, agree or disagree with my ‘theory’, or have anything to add on, reply to the thread. This is still unfinished and I’m all open ears to revisions. Appreciate your time; God Bless.

It’s worth the read regardless. I really liked your in-depth analysis
Thank you, I appreciate it. I’m also completing one on how the book of Job explaining how it foreshadowed the coming of Jesus, as well as the justification of why God came in human form as him.
