I think recovery is a coin toss in terms of how your body will react, in my case I was doing 10k steps a day starting 4th / 5th day after the surgery. Was back on normal energy levels on day 4.
Only annoying thing was drooling and not being able to close the lips easily the first 2 weeks, I'd walk with a covid mask stuffed with paper towel.
No pain in my case, they stuff you with IV meds in the clinic, didn't take any pain meds after leaving the clinic.
The worst part was waking up from general anesthesia, I had it before and you have zero energy in the first few hours but you can't fall asleep either cause you're drooling like crazy. It's like the worst hangover of your life but it lasts only few hours unless you're unlucky and the meds give you nausea, then I suppose it might not be that nice.

Not much but now I'm sub 6 becuase I just all the time and orthos said that I have permanently changed teeth and jaw to an underbite position instead of natural overbite. Cussed from grinding my teeth in my sleep. Getting potential reconstruction surgery becuase my sinuses are fucked from face so free surgery but that is very unlikely.

I don't think you need a blackpilled surgeon, just go for maximum amount of downgrafting without giving you a gummy smile. Stuff like this can be roughly calculated yourself, then just push for the surgeon to do that amount

Jutting always. I made it sound like my bite changed from jutting, I meant grinding in my sleep. and jutting all the time I think now it feels more natural for this position of very slight underbite. (It's harder to breath when I'm not jutting).

Do not try to attempt what happend to me, my bite is fucked now and my adult teeth are ground down making it ten times worse if I am not jutting, my front teeth position changed where I now have a place for my bottom teeth to rest in relative ease.
