Retainer stopping bone growth

I have had a retainer in for 2 years now after I finished Invisalign, and I cannot figure out if the Invisalign retainer holding the teeth back stops mid face growth in the maxilla. I cannot decide if I should stop wearing retainer or if I should continue

your maxilla is mostly developed likely i would assume your age is 17 or so but your it may hold jaw from developing a little bit, probably better just wear the retainer

I have a good defined and long jaw, but my maxilla is decently recessed, so I am not sure if this would help it. Obviously I would be hard mewing 24/7 without wearing Invisalign which I feel would revert progress and loosen teeth

Stop wearing it. I stopped wearing mine i had the same issue and ive already seen palatal expansion. I tried to hard mew and chew while still wearing them but it just made my teeth hurt.

How long have you been off the retainer and r h sure it is not just you tricking yourself? Also r u still making progress and r ur teeth getting ruined

Ive been off since around mid June. I know om not tricking myself because I have a plastic invisalign retainer and it has to bend out wider in order to fit my teeth now, that's how I track progress.

And as for teeth getting messed up they're naturally supported by mewing snd oral habits that's how primitive tribes had straight teeth.
