Sick and tired of seeing no consensus on this topic. Some people say you should before because it doesn't make any difference but will reduce irritation. Some say you should way 20 minutes after applying retin A because you should let the tretinoin penetrate on your skin. But other people say you should apply right after. AND OTHERS SAY BEFORE AND AFTER JFLLLLLLL
I NEED AN ANSWER

retin a, wait 20 mins, moisturiser

if you get too much irritation

retin a, then moisturiser, no wait

this is the true order

Do you need moisturizer? If so, which one do you use?

moisterising before retinoid is known as buffering, which slightly reduces efficacy for decreased irritation. If you are not getting irritated, you should retin a > wait 30 minutes > moisterise

20 minutes after and you need to use a sleeping mask so something like Vaseline to work as an occlusive.

Everyone needs. Nivea, because they don't do gays

This one good? For full body

If ur new to tret then do before and after , esp when starting high dose

I put them on together.

If your skin can take it, use it after cleansing and wait 20-30 minutes before moisturising.

If you're having issues with irritation, either use the moisturiser immediately or put the moisturiser on first.

Can I do this?

moisturizer > retin A (no wait) >serum or whatever

can this work too?

i'm assuming your serum is an active ingredient

you should wait 10-15 minutes before layering actives

so tret > wait > serum

so tret > wait > serum
That makes sense

how many like 10-20 minutes? And as I build tolerance do I need to wait or just as soon retin A dry up I apply my serum after ward?

What I do:
Cleanser > wait 20-30 minutes > Retin-A in a bean sized spread across the face > wait 20-30 minutes > mousturize.

Haven’t had a single problem with irritation, although I started slow (2 times a week for 2 weeks, then 3 times a week for 3 weeks and then I started applying every night for about 2-3 weeks until I finally introduced Vitamin C in the morning).

Remember, skin care is a marathon, you won’t see results in a few days or even weeks, sometimes it can take months to see improvement. And remember if you’re on Retin-A + sunscreen, you’re doing the very basic for anti-aging so the results long term are even more important.

never used it but probably fine. I care more about ingredients than brands tbh

I don’t think there is something stronger than
Vit C + retin A + sunscreen in term of anti aging department ngl

is there any that I might miss out?
