Retinol-a Vs cream for skin lightening

I'm brown (Dwayne Johnson colour) and need to get lighter and I see here people saying retinol a is the answer.
In chemists I see retinol cream but is this the same and can I just use this?

Appreciate the honesty, maybe it truly is over, but the reason I'm having a go is except my calves, face, forearms, I'm white , hence I thought something was possible

try it then..dont go for the doses in those threads btw, theyre extreme

500mg/day VIT C
12mg/day Astaxanthin
1g/day Glutathione (Take it for 3 months, then reduce to 500mg)
1g/day MSM (Take it for 3 months, then reduce to 500mg)

Idk about hydroquinone. Maybe use the 2% cream twice a month.
And always wear high uva-uvb suncream
Idk where I read that but it was like if your Vit D intake is fine or sth your body reduces the production of melanin? Dont count me on that prob bullshit.

IV goes directly into you bloodstream and has more absorption than the pills. I’m taking the pills though rn

I'm SE Asian so im brown lol. Ive been taking them for about a month so not really much difference.
