How many procents should the retinol be for it to work?

I'll be honest with you, retinol is too ineffective for good results
Retinol is in the family of retinoids but it is the weakest one.

Tretinoin is the gold standard in this class, and its a clear upgrade over retinol. It does everything retinol can do but even better.
Tazarotene is good too (also a retinoid)

Go for either Tretinoin 0.05% or 0.1%
If you need to source it prescription-free (depends on country) search the forum for guides there's plenty here.
If you're in a country where it gets seized most of the time by customs then use a tele-derm. They're more lenient in giving out prescriptions.

Make sure you buy a good quality derma stamp with replaceable cartridge and only microneedle 1x a week

Proly because i had a cycle of accutane at 19 but i cannot do even 0.05 daily, i sometimes even peel on 0.025, starting at .1 is crazy

Yeah, you should definitely stick to 0.025 for now
Also, accutane is alot stronger than tretinoin, so needing tretinoin after a cycle of it is not a good sign

Its not because of acne, i did accutane at 19 im fully clear since 19.5, im doing tret for the skin texture improvements, i also have some mild scars which im getting subcision and fat grafting for in october but tret just improves skin quality overall, its just stuck in my routine
