I when to my ortho and he gave me this. It pulls on your cheeks instead of your chin. I would buy Sandra Kahns Bow but I don't have $250 to spare. Is this better? Thanks!

This doesn't help with rotation

Mine got stuck in place

it pulls the teeth straight forward

maxilla doesn't rotate if it's downswung

Cuz ur pulling ur back maxilla upward which is clockwise rotation on the front maxilla
Oh shit Really... so I should just pull straight foward when pulling from the back teeth?

Do you think that the headgear is going to recess my cheekbones?
cheekbones follow maxilla. underbite treatments will always improve your appearance

Okay But the headgear that I use (i posted a pic) it pushes my cheek bones to pull my teeth.

Idk if it does tbh. Ask ur ortho for a chin cup fm

Wym bro I'm trying to fix my underbite isn't that a a looksmax?
Pulling your lower jaw back might fix it but bringing your upper jaw forward would do that while improving your looks. Jaw surgery/maxillary advancement would be a better option imo. How old are you?

Probably a recessed maxilla, not an „overdeveloped“ mandible. If such a thing even exists.

Yeah, my dad got chad bones but I got my mom's mouth breather genes. So what the fix for a resesed maxilla? Bimax?

Jaw surgery. You could give facepullers a try but I wouldn‘t count on it. Braces might be another, less ideal option. How severe is your underbite?

I see you already have braces. What do you need headgear for then? Alveolar camouflage from braces will at least not decrease your appearance because it only moves teeth. Jaw surgery is still better.

Yeah I know jaw surgery is better I'm planning to get it in the future but for the time being I want to fix my underbite.

Idk if you can still get jaw surgery after your teeth have been aligned. Jamming your condyles back in your TMJs doesn‘t seem like a good idea tbh. But who am I to judge? I have no clue about orthodontics.

You can't pull the teeth upward they can only go forward

you need a bone anchor
