In this thread, I will review a documentary film by Desmond Morris about differences between the human sexes. I will filter out the most relevant and interesting information so you don’t have to watch the whole film.

    Gender Roles

We already know that in the primeval world, men’s job was to hunt and handle anything related to hunting (such as designing weapons), while women’s job was to gather plants and bear children.

    Physical Differences

    Physique

Because we had different roles, we developed different types of physiques based on those roles. The male body is larger and stronger (around 30% stronger on average, with roughly twice the muscle mass), while the female body is specialized for childbearing. This helps explain why men tend to dominate strength-based sports.

    Body Fat Distribution

As hunters, men store body fat in areas that do not interfere with stalking, chasing, or throwing weapons. In contrast, women store body fat more evenly throughout the body, though they tend to have more in the hips, thighs, and buttocks. Women also generally have higher body fat levels—on average, men have 12–18%, while women have around 25%. This likely provides women with greater resistance during periods of starvation.

What Happens When Women Start Working Out

They lose some traits typically associated with the female body, such as higher body fat levels. very low body fat can disrupt menstruation, increase muscle mass, and affect fertility. (JFL at cucks who like infertile muscle mommies)

    Differences in the Face

There isn’t much to explain here it’s fairly obvious. Men tend to have more bone mass for protection, wider and more prominent noses (linked to oxygen intake needs during hunting activity). Men also grow beards, which don’t serve a clear functional role in hunting but act as a visible marker of masculinity.

    Voice

The voice is also a sexually dimorphic trait, signaling that a male body has reached maturity.

    Breasts

You might think the only purpose of female breasts is milk production, but they also function as a sexual signaling trait, which is why women store more fat in that area.

    Mental Differences

    • The division of labor in primeval times influenced male and female thinking patterns. Men, focused on hunting, developed strong single-task focus. Women, engaged in gathering, childcare, and other responsibilities, became skilled at multitasking.
    • In general terms, men tend to have stronger visual-spatial skills (useful for hunting), while women tend to excel in verbal skills.

    • Men are also often more inclined toward strategy-based activities and may gravitate toward hobbies that resemble hunting (including sports and board games). This may also relate to a greater tendency toward sometimes unnecessary risk-taking (extreme sports such as skydiving).
    • Another trait often associated with men is a tendency to form structured groups. This was useful during cooperative hunting and is still visible today for example, in military environments where hierarchical organization is common. Men may be more comfortable within strict hierarchies, while women tend to more egalitarian.
    • Brain studies have shown that during verbal tasks, men often rely primarily on the left hemisphere, while women tend to use both hemispheres. This may explain why girls typically begin speaking earlier, develop larger vocabularies, and perform better in spelling, punctuation, and recalling story details. Evolutionarily, these skills may relate to communication and caregiving roles maternity.

Love of Horses in Young Girls

Studies suggest that just before adolescence, girls show a stronger interest in horses than boys. One interpretation is that horses, due to their strength and power, may symbolically represent a masculine element in the lives of girls approaching maturity.

    Life Expectancy and Longevity

We know that women tend to live longer than men. Evolutionary explanation is that grandmothers play a significant role in supporting their daughters with childcare, increasing the survival and success of the family unit.

    Conclusion

I hope you enjoyed this thread. There are six documentary films on this topic if you found this interesting, feel free to comment, and I can tag you in future reviews.
