Scheduled my first rhino/facial implants consult for Monday, I say first as I intend to schedule several to have options. Fortunately I’m located in an area that has very reputable double-board certified surgeons, with overwhelmingly positive feedback. I want to be somewhat swift but thorough, ensuring I mog for summer.

My major concern is unfortunately my asymmetry. Side sleeping has looksminned tf out of me. I have naturally quite high-set, prominent cheekbones and from sleeping on my side over an extended period of time, my right zygo has flattened and consequently made my malar fat pad shift downwards creating a nasolabial fold (your zygos are what holds your fat pads in place, this is why specialists inject filler into the lateral zygo to treat smile lines/nasolabial folds). My right gonion is also less prominent so I’d like for that to be remedied with filler aswell.

I have a couple ideas on how to fix these issues which the surgeon will go over with me. I’m dubious concerning implants for a number of reasons. The main reason is how they will look in the future. As good as my cards for aging genetics are, and how no matter how I collagenmaxx, I will age, it's inevitable. So when you approach a cosmetic issue with a permanent solution you need to take into account how this permanent solution will hold up to aging. When the surgeon is assessing your face and the surrounding fat, he’s taking into account the shape, size and thickness of the implant for your present face, not your future face. The surrounding subcutaneous fat and overall volume will change overtime, thus changing the appearance of your face and the implants.

On the contrary, dermal fillers are an impermanent solution which can last up to 2 years (depending on the type of filler you get). These fillers can in a worst-case scenario, be dissolved and then injected again. They can be tailored to your ever-changing face over the course of your life, with very natural looking results. I think the question of aesthetic longevity is more important than the “task” of injecting filler once every two or so years, like it’s that hard jfl. If I proceed with filler, I’ll probably get like .5 ml in my anterior zygo and the other .5 in my lateral zygo so my face is evenly contoured. A minor modification. As per my rhino, my nose is slightly asymmetrical with a semi-bulbous tip and nasal bridge that I’d like to correct to ideal ratios with a tiplasty/lateral osteotomy. The overall goal being to narrow the entire nose pyramid.

I’ll keep anyone who is interested updated.
