You can make a career out of a lot of things in the modern era because food is plentiful and our world is powered by and polluted by fossil fuels. In the very shitty past of humanity, you and I would be working in a foundry or coal mine with no OSHA regulation because it was the beginning of the industrial revolution, and if you didn't do that, you wouldn't be able to afford to eat, and no one would care as public executions were still common and death was just like a daily occurance. In the biblical age, both you and I would be tending to a farm and be illiterate. Before the invention of steam engines and the exploitation of fossil fuels and earth's cheap and stored energy, you and I would have to be commiting our labour in some way to growing food as was the only way for peasants. And most other of the middle and lower class who are reading this. You can make a career out of a lot of things, or be NEET, because steam engines and petroleum mog our all of our labour. The reasons governments redistribute money for food is so the crime rate doesn't skyrocket in the unemployed because they are starving.

That was on my mind. Fairly sure that it's a true fact about human civilisaion in the modern age. You can make a modest living off recording yourself playing video games online because of the same principle.

Who would care? I wouldn't care. Measuring and confirming the heights of Chads to rank them among the Chads? Chads who wont be relevant within fourty years max. Maybe vein normies would care.
