Security cameras captured the moment a man reacted to an attempted robbery in the early hours of Monday (5), in Guarulhos, in the state of São Paulo. At the time, the victim took the murder weapon and shot one of the suspects.

In the images, it is possible to see two men on a motorcycle approaching the victim. One of them gets off the motorcycle and announces the robbery to the victim, who hands over his cell phone and wallet. Then, taking advantage of a moment of distraction by the pair, the victim takes the weapon used to subdue him and shoots at the suspect, while his accomplice flees the scene.

The teenager who was shot was 16 years old and was hit in the shoulder and arm. He was taken to a health unit, but did not survive his injuries. The victim of the robbery handed over the murder weapon to the Military Police and told the officers that he was approached by two young men on a motorcycle after leaving work. The case was registered as self-defense. The suspect who was driving the motorcycle is still being sought by the police.
