ROOT CANAL OR EXTRACTION (read below)

I have an access on my upper right molar just in front of my wisdom tooth and my dentist said they can either do an extraction with sedation or a root canal but said that it’s not entirely sure that it will go right, what do I do I don’t want my face to get affected negatively.

i had an extraction on one of my left molars when i was younger and from my pov i think it look asymmetrical but that’s only an anecdote
