my ortho said i can decide if i wanna use them or not, i had implant assisted palatal expander before this is the last stage of the treatment,
is it bad for the maxilla/looks?

If your underbite is minor I think that the rubber bands won't affect anything skeletally too much

For overbite yes
But after jaw surgery they usually use rubberbands aswell like in the video
