Looksmax.me is a community for men that are looking to improve their looks. These improvements include but are not limited to surgery, skincare, and bodybuilding. This community is a male-only community, therefore anyone attempting to register that is not a male will be rejected.
The reason for this is that there are already many places where women can go to improve their looks, but there is a lack of places where men can do the same. Men need a place where they can help each other improve our looks.

What is reputation?
Reputation is shown under your user, and in your user profile page. When someone "likes" your post or gives you any other type of reaction (minus anger), you will receive +1 reputation. The more you post and the more quality your posts have, the more reputation you'll get.
I have a serious inquiry, where can I reach you?
Email contact@veedn.com.
How do I change the theme of the site?
There is a button at the bottom left of the page to change your theme.
When will I be able to send PMs / vote in polls?
If you are active, you'll be permitted to do these things automatically. It's a spam-prevention measure, be patient.
How do the ranks and stars work?
You earn one star per 100 posts, up to 5 stars. Once you get 500 posts, your rank and color changes and you reset to one star again. Note that for each rank you need to have been registered one extra week on the site. This is so spamming to skip ranks isn't possible. You can see all of the ranks on the member's section sidebar.
I have more than X amount of posts, why hasn't my user color changed yet?
If you have the post count and the registered time required, be patient. The 'upgrade' process runs every couple hours.
How do I change the tag under my username, my privacy settings, or my alert preferences?
You can go to the preference page in your profile.
Who are the staff members of the forum?
You can check that here.
Can I block a user that is annoying/I don't like?
Yes. Click on their username. Then you can click the "ignore" button to ignore a user.
Can I edit/delete my posts and threads?
You have a 4-hour window to edit/delete posts. You have a 4-hour window to edit threads, but you are unable to delete them. The reason is that good discussions are sometimes lost when threads are deleted. You can always ask a moderator to remove content if you need something removed, but note we do not mass delete content, don't insist.
How do I get alerts from a thread?
On the top right of every thread, there's a button that says "Watch." If you want to watch a particular thread without having to post, click that button. By changing your alert preferences, you can automatically watch threads after you post in a thread or after you create a thread.
Can I change my username?
No. This also means you can't voluntarily ban your current account to create another.
Can I delete my account?
We do not delete accounts or mass delete content. You can PM a moderator to get a voluntary ban, and you can change your preferences to make your profile "invisible" to others.
You can also read this guide on how to leave the site if you find yourself spending too much time here.
What happens if I am banned?
Your posting privileges will be taken away, and you won't be able to start PM conversations. If you feel your ban was unfair, you can post an appeal in the "Ban Appeal" section of the forum. Please read the sticky first.
How do warnings work?
Warnings you get are active in your profile for only one month by default and can be seen only by moderators. Active warnings will add up, and if your warnings total 60% or more, you will get a temporary ban (up to 4 days). At 100%, you will be permanently banned. To know your warning level, add up each warning PM you have received over the last month.
How can I stay safe online?
The same way you do anywhere else: Don't post personal information (real name, address, phone, email, pictures, etc.), unless you are comfortable exposing that information to the whole internet. If you want to go a step further, you can post with a proxy or a VPN (We don't allow either during registration to avoid spam. After you have been accepted to the forum you are allowed to use proxies/VPNs).
Why was X user warned/banned?
Warnings are personal, and we do not publicly announce reasons for warnings or bans. You are free to PM the user in question.
The reason for this is that there are already many places where women can go to improve their looks, but there is a lack of places where men can do the same. Men need a place where they can help each other improve our looks.
Users
- Men (Allowed): Men that are looking to improve their looks.
- Women (Not Allowed): This is a men-only forum. Women will be banned on sight, no exceptions.
Let's talk about the forum itself. Before I get into a list of things not to do, here are things you should do:
- DO make interesting posts about how to improve your looks and techniques to do so.
- DO make great content. No matter if it's posted directly onto this site or linked from elsewhere, we encourage the creation of great lookmaxing and aesthetic content.
- DO show respect for fellow members. We all are trying to improve ourselves here, after all.
- Blatantly Brag
- Don't blatantly brag about your experiences. If you talk about your experiences, please make it relevant to the conversation.
- Harass or troll other members
- Don't persistently troll or harass other members. If you made an account here to troll or bait responses, you'll be banned very quickly.
- Request or post anyone's dox, or use user's pictures as avatars.
- Don't request, publish, post, or threaten to post other people's private information without their express authorization and permission. If you want to use a user's face/body as avatar on the site, make sure you have explicit permission from them.
- Share accounts
- We don't allow the sharing of accounts because your forum account is personal and we are unable to determine whether the people that you share your account with are allowed to post on the forums or not. If you wish to create an account, you are free to fill out an application here.
- Create an Alternate Account (Alt)
- We only allow you to have one account on this forum – your original one.
- Post NSFW content without a [NSFW] tag
- Pornography and violent content needs a [NSFW] tag if it's a thread, spoiler tags if it's a post. As a rule of thumb, don't post gore or pornography in random threads, even with spoiler tags.
- Post low effort/spam content, and advertisement.
- Replies such as "cope" or "soy" doesn't contribute anything to the conversation. This rule is relaxed in the OffTopic subforum. Blatant advertisement is also not allowed, this isn't a marketplace.
- Necropost without good reason
- There are circumstances where necroposting is justified, but don't do it for no good reason.
- Post platitudes, cherrypick, or bluepilled content
- We hear enough of these "feel good" platitudes in our ordinary, everyday lives. We don't need to listen to it here. Cherrypicking is a terrible way to start a discussion, and threads/posts like these are usually used to push bluepilled ideas.
- Post gay/trap content
- We don't want this place to become like r9k with the trap stuff. Keep it off this forum.
- Request removal of threads in the Rating subforum, or delete your pictures from there.
- We don't delete Rating threads, and we don't allow users to delete their pictures from their Rating threads, as otherwise the thread loses all meaning. If you don't want the forum to see and rate your photo, PM it to people that you trust.
- Post Rating threads outside of the Rating subforum
- Keep all rating threads inside of the subforum.
- Incite to lawless action
- Don't post illegal content or direct anyone to commit illegal acts of any kind. If you're joking make sure it's obvious, intention is very hard to guess through text. If in doubt, don't do it.
Do not try to circumvent the rules listed here. They are general guidelines and are very flexible.
Please read our privacy policy and terms of service. By using this site you agree to all our policies and rules.
