Soon it's going to be the rutting season for many deers, wild cattle, wild boars and one thing hunter will tell you is that that you do not want mess with a buck during the rutting season. Stay as far away as possible and hunt them after that or before that. Hunting them during that season is suicide

Rutting bucks are highly aggressive, territorial, and unpredictable due to surges in testosterone. They lose their natural fear of humans. They braver, more active, and less cautious and deers aren't friendly bambi type creatures disney shows. They have huge antlers, thick skulls, very strong and can easily do a lot damage.

Bear season is coming up, for most places at least. Deer and elk season is usually best late September-October. Don't know why anyone would prefer to hunt during rutting season, other than maybe the fact that it's easier to spot animals since vegetation hasn't grown back fully yet.

Possibly so. Everyone in my family is an avid hunter/fisherman but they've never sought out stuff like that. I still haven't applied for my hunters safety license but I'm not sure it's something I'd ever use. Hunting is far more difficult than people give it credit for.

Imo fishing is a lot lot harder than hunting. Fishing is more of an art. Hunting isn't as rewarding as a good catch.

I think hunting is more rewarding than fishing simply based off the fact that you have to hike out for days with very low chances of finding anything, have to get a good clear shot without maiming the animal, and have to eventually track down it's body, gut it, process it, and hike all the way back with 70+ lbs. of meat and bone on your back. Fishing is way more fun though since it's nearly impossible to get exhausted by doing it.
