Saying nearly 0 is as irrational as saying nearly infinite

You cannot ever be near 0 there will always be a smaller decimal much like how there will always be a larger number when you go 'near infinity'
Another thing that is interesting is that to not reach true 0 your decimal has to get exponentially smaller but with infinity it can increase exponentially or linearly and in integers

If you are nearly at 0, you are less than a whole number away

Thats why i mentioned to not ever truly approach 0 your decimal would have to go into powers of negative 10 while with infinity you can go either route and use integers as well
 
Near 0 is 1 and -1 doesn't mean they are the same thing. Infinite is not a number but a constant.
