Your Derm will ask you to get a random lipids profile (blood test), then prescribe you 10mg/day once they can see that your bloodwork is all good. At your next appointment, they'll probably up you to 20mg/day.
Ask them if you can up your dose to 20mg/day after a month so long as you tolerate isotretinoin well.
Maybe suggest that you will get follow-up bloodwork yourself to ensure that you are tolerating the 10mg/day dose after a month. You most likely will be.
Your acne will likely be completely gone in only a few months, it's not bad and there is basically zero scarring.
