Seeing oral maxillofacial surgeon tmrw need help

Need help convincing/warranting bimax/jaw surgery. I’m seeing them for pain in my jaw (tmj) that has never been able to be resolved and I’m curious what’s the best way to warrant the need for surgery so insurance covers? I’m already recessed on my right side due to the tmj.
