Dying doesn't suck. Not if it's painless. It's scary because you don't know whats going to happen but I think endlessly living in this rathole world is much much worse than potentially meeting Jesus Christ. Just a hunch.

Death of loved ones is tragic yeah. I would much rather I died first than the people I care about but that is a perfectly normal and healthy thing to think.

Of course the death of a child is infinitely worse for the parents than the death of the parents are for the child. But it is perfectly normal to want to go first so you don't have to deal with the pain of losing loved ones.

What matters is being able to understand this and persevere when it does happen. And not fall for traps like immortality from the likes of Elon Musk or D-Wave computing.
