I bought this new hair multivitamin which has Selenium included at 100mcg, so I decided to take 2 pills a day after breakfast.

It made my hair sparse and thinning badly around temples.

I said I might be delusional or it's a normal shed for whatever reason? But yesterday was the 3rd day and I literally shed many hairs during shower and my hair looks so much fucking worse...

FUCK! I'm so paranoid and fuming rn...

I read an article on google that taking more than 50mcg a day can be bad and cause hairloss...

I don't know if this is true or not cause I didn't see any studies, but in my case it happened.

Take care users don't ever supplement Selenium it can worsen things more than being beneficial...

How much mcg is it?

bear in mind that everyone is different and you may benefit of it. but I didn't.

Also if I were you I wouldn't risk it

Well that's the recommended daily dose from what I've read online.

In my case I was taking 220mcg daily... I fucked up ngl.

What's your hair care routine? Supplements, vitamins and oils? If any

So selenium can be antagonistic to iodine, meaning if you were low in that already then your thyroid could be under performing. Go get your thyroid tested. Hair loss/thinning is a common symptom of that.

I did thyroid blood test before it came out fine.

I just over dosed with it

Probably that's why your hair is thinning
How you know :dafuckfeels:
Also its impossible to not eat above 50mcg selenium when just 2 eggs have that amount jfl, plus meat, potatoes etc.

Just don't eat and starve yourself bro!
