I have a severe deepbite where I can only swallow on one side of my palate. I have troubles swallowing and a dentist told to get a frenectomy for my tongue tie and do myofunctional therapy.

I was hoping that I could simply expand my palate but it’s not that simple since I’m already 23 years old. And have heard it doesn’t fix a deepbite and the mandible doesn’t follow with expansion.

Surgery is the only way but what surgeries do i need? I don’t want to get orthodontics to intrude or extrude or impact because I dont want to receed my maxilla even more or look even flatter than I already do.

I’ve considered Orthognatic Surgery with BSSO and genioplasty but since my swallowing habits are a diagnosed tongue thrust and asymmetrical one ive heard that those habits can ruin a surgical result and slowly relapse it since it moves the teeth slowly or something.

I need serious advice since I’m on the verge of suicide because of how much I’ve destroyed my face trying to mew and swallow. I don’t go outside much and scare and disgust almost everyone I meet. SERIOUS advice.
