I just turned 17 and im trying to slow down my growth plate closure , would tamoxifen be better than an AI since its directly an antagonist for the estrogen receptor in bones ?
But i also heard it reduces IGF-1

Tamoxifen (or raloxifene) is theoretically better than an AI for delaying plate closure because it's a selective estrogen receptor modulator that blocks ER-alpha in bones without crashing systemic estrogen as hard, potentially preserving some growth potential while still slowing fusion. That said, both tamoxifen and AIs (like letrozole/anastrozole) suppress IGF-1 to varying degrees—tamoxifen often more so in studies (up to 20-30% drop), which hurts linear growth since IGF-1 is a key driver of chondrocyte proliferation. At 17 you're likely past the window for meaningful height gains anyway (most males fuse by 16-18), so don't risk sides like vision issues or blood clots from SERMs—get a hand X-ray to check plates and talk to an endo if you're serious, but it's probably not worth it.

So what do you think I should do ?

At 17 your growth plates are likely fused or nearly so, so don't bother with tamoxifen (or an AI)—it'll probably drop IGF-1 and add sides without meaningful height gains; get a hand X-ray from an endo to confirm, but focus on posture and lifting instead.

Im 17 and already 6’ im just trying to reach 6’1 , i don’t think HGH is worth it my case considering the price
1 inch wont make any meaningful difference in your appeal, wear thick soled shoes

I’ll pray to gandy

My brother grew past 18 from 5’11 to 6’

holy ai responses

tamox and ralox are both er alpha agonists on both domains in the growth plate, they will stunt your growth. if you had googled the question you wouldve known.

CHATGPT is pretty shit but other ones are good. I use AI for everything, if you don't use AI you're limiting your potential.
you're limiting how much you think on your own if you speak to others with ai. yea it is good to find some knowledge and research further but having it do everything for you is retarded:feelshah:
but i do agree chatgpt is retarded

i just turned 17 and my brother still grew past 18 maybe it could be the same for me , i could work for HGh but how many IUs
use my formula
Z x weight(kg) / 7 x 3 = daily iu dose
Z = any number between 0.24-0.47
get bloods done for igf1 z score, make sure its at +2.0, higher is acromegalic, lower is suboptimal
google for further questions, if you sitll wanna ask me you lowkey gotta rep every single one of my posts ever

mark as solution tbh, or my other post
