Voting-Everyone must be age 18
Driving-Everyone must be age 16
Drinking-Everyone must be age 21
Running for president-everyone must be age 35
So why, all of the sudden, is there such a moral panic when it comes to age gaps in sex/dating? It's simple, because when the topic of sex comes up, it makes people emotional and uncomfortable, so we make up arbitrary rules.
Imagine if I told you "It's legal for 22 year olds to drink with each other, but not with 15 year olds, but 15 year olds can drink with each other" Wouldn't that sound ridiculous?
