Everyone has a different wacky theory on the internet

just cut out shampoo and cultivate your natural oils bro (reality: look like a diseased oily rodent)

just use shampoo daily bro (reality: burn your scalp and go bald)

What i've been doing is daily use of child shampoos because they tend to be very mild in acidity compared to adult shampoos. My hair is very oily, so I gotta use shampoo everyday for it to not look like chit. Is this damaging my hair? What is the frequency one should aim at for shampoo use? Also - I don't use conditioner, is that worth buying?

I use it 2 times (2 days) a week. The remaining days I just rinse my hair with water.

Don't by a conditioner, it has some dangerous plasticides and phthalates in it. It gives your hair a gently and smooth texture, but it is harmful.

Shampoo alternative as in alternative cleaning method? You mean like just using soap?

Just don’t use every day

Everyday or your hair will look like shit. All male models apply shampoo everyday. Also use conditioner

I quit shampoo like 3 months ago, literally saved my hair. Way thicker and smooth, stays in place, no grease, dandruff, etc.

how long for it do adapt?

I tried for like 2 weeks

just ended up looking like roadkill with rabies

Bro, your hair smells like wet dog. Just rinsing with water is the worst thing you can do

heres a quot from cg guide "Sulfates and harsh cleansers strip your scalp of oils. To recover, your scalp overproduces oil, and it takes time for your scalp to realize it doesn't need to generate so much oil. Be patient and try to stretch out the time between washes. Give it 1 month at least."
benignice said to me that you should just shampoo your damn hair, as cowashing and other stuff will not cleanse your hair effectively. if youre worried about over oiling, use google or just use a gentler shampoo. idk about child shampoos but it could be good

I got lucky and it didn’t even really get overly greasy or bad, I remember like day 3 it was a bit rough and after that perfect. Really depends on hair genetics i guess.

Personally I just use SLS free shampoo whenever I think my hair is starting to look a bit greasy. Could be a few days, could be a whole week.
