It's something thats always avoided in fitness discussion because its too brutal a blackpill but most studies on on fitness and working out are done on athletes so theyre always a bit bias in terms of a persons capabilities to put on muscle since athletes are already of good genetic quality. Studies done on the average person routinely show that between 10-20% of people simply cannot make any gains or that their progress is so slow that its barely measurable. These people are literally recorded as "non responders"
