You have to not overdo it. Think long term, not short term. "Hit", or more like lightly tap with something sharp and solid like a hammer for a decent amount of time and do it everyday and most importantly stay consistent. With time you'll obviously see results in the bone if you are doing it every single day. You can't just do it every once in awhile it has to be every single day.
