Title. I've heard double edged safety razors that take these kind of double edged platinum coated blades are much better

I have always used cartridge razors like these

These are the razors that I have been using for years and learnt my shaving in. They are fast, efficient and take 0 skill. I also travel a lot and they are allowed in planes so that is a bonus but I have been thinking to switch to safety razors. Mainly because they are much cheaper. These gillete cartridges are expensive af and gillete razors apparently don't give a very close shave, can irritate the skin and cause rough skin texture while D.E razors are sharper and better for your skin.

What do you think? What razor do you use?

I've been using a safety razer for years now. They only have one blade, so yeah irritation is low.

However, there are no guards, so you will end up cutting yourself if you angle it incorrectly. Remember place it at an angle and just let the weight of the razer and gravity do the work.

I use an electric razor, it gives me the best shave and no ingrown hairs, irritation, etc

I’ve tried them all

it’s very fast too and takes no time, you can remove everything in literal seconds and the shave is smooth

Phillips One Blade is goated.

Chico uses it. No shaving cream no water, just turn it on and you're done.

Also Braun Series 9 goated

Any cheap safety razor will do as long as the blade is not overhanging too much (it will scrape you then). Any random cheap shit razor blades will do too. Don't fall into buying overpriced shit when this has been the cheapest and best way to shave for decades, bar getting a proper shaving razor (fuck that I'm not playing with that)
