Should I continue ntmaxxing

I have recently stopped being myself, I used to enjoy stuff like Anime, Manga, K-pop, Movies, TV, Gaming, Dexter and Conventions and stuff, but I had no friends back then, so for a solid year I stopped watching that stuff and hanging with the popular crowd, I date girls, go to functions and have friends. But it is so hard putting on a mask everyday to please everyone, but I must make connections in order to be popular and successful in the dating market/life, I have considered going back to my old ways, when I was happier. Any thoughts?
