yes you absolutely should, you wont get forward growth unless you add on an expensive face mask and that too would aid in a little more growth (costs about 500 usd but the best one on the market). My palate is about 3.5 cm

What should i expect with adding MSE? What will change in my looks? Will it ascend me more that a few maxila mm’s? I need to know if it worth the thooth gap and pain it creates…

Forward is possible without facemask, in fact if you expand about 6.5mm you can get around 1.5-2mm of forward growth without a facemask on average. Depending on your expansion, Every mm countsyes you absolutely should, you wont get forward growth unless you add on an expensive face mask and that too would aid in a little more growth (costs about 500 usd but the best one on the market).
im a narrowpalatecel too and i wish i could afford mse but im saving up for an expander lool
yeah thats true but its not proportionate to ur expansionForward is possible without facemask, in fact if you expand about 6.5mm you can get around 1.5-2mm of forward growth without a facemask on average. Depending on your expansion, Every mm counts
Yea, about 3mm of expansion causes 1mm of forward with 1mm of soft tissue forward.yeah thats true but its not proportionate to
pretty sure ur ratios are off, its more so 1:4Yea, about 3mm of expansion causes 1mm of forward with 1mm of soft tissue forward.
Depends on the person for teens like this kid here it would be around 3mm of expansion is 1mm of forward ( Reason I said about 3mm of expansion didnt say exacty) maybe for grown people ike 25+ Its 4-1 I wouldnt say no, but the 3 range is where you would get about 1mm of forward, Wether is 3.5mm or 3mm for age groups (15-19) The older you get it would be as you said 4mm equal 1 forward.pretty sure ur ratios are off, its more so 1:4
Isnt MSE and Palate expander the same? And will a facemask still work at 16 years old?yes you absolutely should, you wont get forward growth unless you add on an expensive face mask and that too would aid in a little more growth (costs about 500 usd but the best one on the market).

mse is a type of palate expander but it is anchored to bone so more effective and expensiveIsnt MSE and Palate expander the same? And will a facemask still work at 16 years old?
Ohhh ok, ill talk to my mom once she gets home- how could I make her allow me to get MSE? Are there any health benefits to it or just looks?mse is a type of palate expander but it is anchored to bone so more effective and expensive
Mse isn't something you can just ask your mom to go to the orthodontist and he will give you one, its a procedure that splits ur midplatal suture. Ur local ortho likely doesn't even do mse or has done it on anyone. And to tell if your a candidate is a different story, Just because you have a narrow palate doesn't mean your a candidate it comes to other problems. It helps with breathing but they won't do it just for "breathing". (depends on ur provider)Ohhh ok, ill talk to my mom once she gets home- how could I make her allow me to get MSE? i disagree, i am going to get consultation tomorrow at ortho to get MSE + twin blocks, luckily near where i live there is a reputable MSE provider which i think is like relatively uncommon/rare to find, anyways if you talk about health and how its affecting your sleep and you may potentially have sleep apnea and it affects your life because you feel tired in the morning and your palate is narrow im sure the orthodontist would be glad to solve your problem, just book a consultation and try it broMse isn't something you can just ask your mom to go to the orthodontist and he will give you one, its a procedure that splits ur midplatal suture. Yes if you have sleep apnea marpe could help, but dont depend on it if ur lucky then a mse provider will do it if you take a sleep study most likely to prove you have breathing issues. Unless your provider will take your word which is rare. I think its a looksmin for most if you go above 6mm of expansion it could create this heavy upper third and narrow lower third look. Good luck though man Hope you get what you want and what fixes your problem.i disagree, i am going to get consultation tomorrow at ortho to get MSE + twin blocks, luckily near where i live there is a reputable MSE provider which i think is like relatively uncommon/rare to find, anyways if you talk about health and how its affecting your sleep and you may potentially have sleep apnea and it affects your life because you feel tired in the morning and your palate is narrow im sure the orthodontist would be glad to solve your problem, just book a consultation and try it bro
