I am able to get a septoplasty to fix my pretty severely deviated septum ( it’s relatively visible about 3 people have noticed it irl so not too bad in motion but in photos I believe it’s relatively noticeable so is a looks min) and it makes me have to mouth breathe a lot I think I mouth breathe while I sleep which sucks
But why I am even asking this question I would be getting it a year early from the recommended age of 17 or 18 (me being 16) and i have read it can affect my forward growth development( bad forward growth = rope) and wondered if it was true so I wanted to ask looks maxers on the internet instead of a doctor to avoid the weird looks.

Septoplasty will not affect your forward growth development but mouth breathing will for sure.
Yes you should get septo if your breathing is impaired due to your deviated septum.
In terms of your age yes usually it is recommended to wait but not because it will get better but because your nose might not be fully developed yet so it might grow crooked again if you get septoplasty to early
Please read i know there’s a lot but i need to know if I should do this as It makes me mouth breathe a shit tun ahd looks shit

Until then you can wear nose strips to sleep better at night since they open up your nose and wear mouth tape to prevent snoring and mouth breathing

Yeah use nasal strips but my left nostril isn’t in existence though due to the deviation and i get hay fever terribly so a lot of nights mouth breathing is inevitable, nasal spray helps aswell , and if I used mouth tape I think I will die in my sleep via suffocation , thanks

Septoplasty doesn't have any cosmetic benefit you need septorhinoplasty

It does it straightens the nose, by my nose being bent I don’t mean a hump on it or like a bump I mean my nose is bent to the right so a normal nose looking like this from a front view (I) and my nose looking like this (\) , this makes my one nostril be completely closed off as the bone (the septum) is bent and to correct my breathing they straighten it which also makes my nose not bent.
