I have a slight overbite and I mean slight, it covers about 1/4 of my lower front teeth. The dentist said that I could fix it with braces.
The problem is I'm afraid that braces will cuck my maxilla. Right now, I have very good lower maxilla, I'd even go as far as to say that it is ideal. However my upper maxilla is flat with no undereye support.
My chin is also a bit weaker than ideal imo, idk if it's because of my slight overbite. Also, the only reason why I'm even considering braces is to hopefully get better chin projection. My chin looks pretty similar to Jordan Barrett's in the picture below, mine is maybe 1-2mm behind compared to his.

Go to surgeon, ask for opinion, measure your airways.

Always consider surgery before getting braces.

Bite could be perfect but you could still be recessed, bluepill dentists don't realize that.

Wait, seriously?
This is just my opinion.

People here think recession is onlt looks. People here are too young to realise it's also airways problems.

A lot of these birdcells will have sleep apnea or upper airway resistance syndromes when they get a little bit older.

If you think you have at least slight recession*
But the thing is I'm very reluctant to invasive surgeries. So, if there's alternatives than I'd always choose that one. Of course, if surgery's the only route than I'll take it.
