Should I get MARPE? And what other jaw work?

After another thread recommended a LeFort 1 to fix my long face, I got a consult with a surgeon, who required seeing an orthodontist before he'd do anything.
The ortho recommended MARPE, saying this would cause some forward growth and that I need some lateral growth anyway.
The ortho took this attached xray and these pictures (sorry for the weird gray background on the pictures--the forum software was zooming in too much without it). As you can see from them, my current jaw structure is kind of a mess.

Based on these pics/xray:

• Would MARPE actually improve me?
• Is MARPE a possible substitute for the LeFort? If not, what order should I get them in?
• Are there any other hardmaxxes I should try to get done besides the LeFort (and maybe MARPE)?
  • (I know I need to straighten my teeth, but that takes so long I'll save it for after if possible)
• Do I need to lose more weight before knowing for sure?
