Seems like they do get it but they have good enough density they can cover it up. Also their traditional treatments don't have that bad of sides (spiro and such).

No wait until 18. Don't jeopradize the remainder of your puberty if the rest of the hair is good.
It's risk vs reward. You've got to weigh it up correctly which youngsters are very bad at doing here.
