I am working long hours at the moment, weekends and holidays as well. My basic pay will go down a few hundred but there is option for overtime even when you're part time so you could just do the odd day here and there and make even more money than people who're full time who dont do any overtime. Its a loop hole in the company someone was telling me about so applied. It would mean i would only work 3 days a week ( witht he option of working more days ) compared to 8 days straight

Sounds like the lesser of two evils, tbh

whats the hourly?

About £14 an hour. Overtime is around double so £28 ish.
yea I'd suggest it cuz assuming you work now 24 hrs a week (or whatever the 3 days equates in hours) and lets say one or two days (8hrs) of overtime in a month. You'd have time to go to the gym and develop a side business or whatever you'd want to do

Is it a dead end job or not?

Thats exactly what i'm thinking. A guy at work showed me his payslip and he made 300 more than me with a few overtime. I didn't do any so my pay was flat basic but he only had to come in 3 times in a week. I see it as working part-time with the option of full-time. At the moment i work 8 days straight with 3-4 days off depending on the schedule and barely have time to do anything.

Depends, do you need the money?

If you’ve had your surgeries, or don’t need any, time is far more valuable than money.

The way the tax system is structured it makes more sense to do part time work for longer than try to retire early on full time work.

You live at home. Go down to part time.
