Should i keep growing out my hair anyways?

Alright so i hella fell for the goatis long hair propaganda and i'm letting it grow tf out, but my gf says they like it buzzed / short more, but is happy if i wanna try out something and supports me.
Still, i know they preferr short hair and would be happy to shave if it meant i fit their preference better.
Idk what i should do, tbh.
