I wanna leanmaxx rn cus im decently high body fat, but idk if it's not worth it and wether I should just focus on being on a surplus and nutrientmaxxing and so on? can't find a solid answer for this

dont wanna get super lean just 10-12% for optimal hormones and shit

Post your height, weight and waist measurement OP and I'll tell you if it's a good idea or not. Don't go by what size pants you wear. Measure your actual fucking waist circumference. Use a smart tape to make it easier or one of those tape measures that have a notch for you to loop it around. If you know you know. Here is a visual demonstration of what I'm talking about: https://www.amazon.com/RENPHO-Measuring-Bluetooth-Measurement-Retractable/dp/B082W886W9 It doesn't have to be a smart tape with bluetooth and app functionality like the one I linked to and shit if you want to save some money. It just needs to loop around and lock like that.
A smart tape is usually like $40 CAD. I got one for $30 CAD off Amazon on a sale. It's like $25 USD on the US site right now. I wear size 28 jeans but my waist is actually 76.9-77.3cm (30.2-30.5") when I measured it last week. They made jeans bigger due to obesity inflation. I'm a 167cm turbo manlet. That's why my waist is so small.

If you are a legit fat fuck, like 25+ BMI, maybe even like 24+ or 23+ BMI, then yeah maybe you should lose weight. But if you're just a skinnyfat boy who doesn't lift, just fucking lift and you'll recomp fat to muscle.

You do not want to stunt your height growth. A lot of people are just fat because they don't fucking lift or do anything athletic or do much manual labour in their life.

I’m 70.3kg, 183 cm, been going to the gym on and off for 2 years, get like 15k steps in everyday

leanmaxxing with your stats at 16 years old is crazy. From the pics I saw, your body fat percentage is lower than my old ass. lol. It's fine for me to cut because I'm too old to grow taller. But you should be eating at maintenance if not a small surplus at 16

No cap, once my body fat percentage gets down to your level, that's probably when I'll stop cutting. And I'm old enough to be your dad.
