damn nigga i can't handle those old ass games, you should start with New Vegas if you want a good story but it was made by a different studio so don't expect the same story quality for every other fallout game
1 and 2 are completely different from the rest, you can play them if you want but i reccomend New Vegas if you don't care about graphics or bugs too much

Agree, i like NV more but its much easier to get into the games if you start w 4

matter of fact i was about to play some NV i am on the stage where i have to choose which faction to help, ain't gonna lie i don't fw the NCR or House, even tho the dude seems to be smart he's way too mean to me so fuck him, i will go Yes Man or Legion, prob the first one cause i want to fight Lanius
