Should I play Silent Hill 2 remake?

Yes play it, it's a very good and faithful remake compared to the orginal that really improved the gameplay. The story in the OG was 10/10 but the gameplay not so good.

Yes I know you probably didn’t play the original but most early suvvivor horror games, like resident evil and SH, they knew combat would be horrible cuz it’s a old game, puzzles and atmosphere is the main point of those games.The new one is focused way more on combat

All the combat is boring, your not actually scared by the monsters but by the environment and environment, remake is better

Killing enemies in RE early games is difficult, when you have to light the zombies on fire in RE1, only thing I hated was ink ribbons.

I'm playing it currently. I've been playing it for the last two months, just few hours at a time because it's too stressful to play for long.

It is a different type of horror to resident evil, where it's more of a slow burn as opposed to action.

It's one of those games where I get happy when the door doesn't open.
