I'm short as hell (5'6 at 16, close to 17 yo) with a bone age 1.5-2.5 years younger than my real age + a bit of acne impossible to get rid of, tried everything, nothing works (crazy genes eh love it ).
I got an appointement with a dermatologist next week and I'm wondering if I should take accutane and risk stunting my last chance at being a bit taller or get accutane and fuck it.

You'll be fine, if you're really scared of accutane you can just take some high concentration / dose tretinoin

but even then, accutane doesnt stunt your growth that much

I won't get a high dose anyways cuz my acne isn't that deep, it's just persistent. And I'm not buying on indiamart since i'm going to the dermatologist for this exact reason.

How the fuck is accutane going to stunt growth? Say, Isotretinoin. Those are derivatives from Vitamin A (retinol) in shit ton high doses. All they can affect is acne and stuff Vitamin A affects, since they're alike in structure. Vitamin A is completely separate from any bone growth mechanisms.

I mean, as I said, I'm really fucking late on my growth, late bloomer maybe even, since my bone age is only 14.5-15.5. I got a girlfriend and I'm overall pretty happy, that's not an issue, I just would like to not ruin any growth.
