Im talking 40mg of accutane every day since October and it hasn’t worked, I’m still getting even more acne than I have before every day I wake up with around 8 new pimples that popped when I was sleeping. I’m doing everything good I have good diet, drinking 5l water of day, washing face in je morning and evening taking also retinoids/retinol every day. I’m 16 and I have this fucking piece of shit since I was 10. Nobody in my family had acne. Is it better to ropemax?

Happened to me when I first took accutane exactly 1 year ago and also started at 40 mg. I purged all over and got some massive cystic acne spots. They were gone within 2 months tho but those two months I looked like dogshit bc of the purge. Closed comedomes especially but it’s just the skin getting rid of all the acne underneath.

Just stick with it maybe lower the dose. I am on 350 test and 3 IU GH and don’t need more than 15 mg accutane ED with some dutasteride to control my acne. Actually not a single pimple on cycle at most just some raised spots or red marks which show up only for a day or so even less if I apply an anti microbial cream but no actual pimples. Probably because I already purged out any future acne but still. Maybe he has bad androgen receptor sensitivity as well idk

You don’t have an idea how horrible this feeling is when nobody in your school have this much acne and when girl is looking at you you feel like she’s laughing at you. Even my dermatologist said that he don’t think that accutane can do shi in my case also he gave me 60mg/day dosage but still thinking it will do nothing, I just lost my hope

how could he think its not going to do anything if he is giving you such a high dose? accutane would work because it also decreases androgen receptor sensitivity in skin at higher doses like 0.5 mg/kg/day

I had the same thing as well, turns out you're supposed to be eating 25-50g of fat ~1000 calories whenever you take accutane, if you're not doing that, the effects of accutane are heavily diminished.

I'd also recommend getting some super gentle cleanser and moisturizer from Cetaphil or CeraVe, worked wonders for me.
