Should I scrape off my tartar with a needle?

I've had a little bit of tartar on my bottom front teeth for a few years, it hasn't progressed or anything but it's just annoying. I'm thinking of just getting a needle and trying to scrape it off, I know it's not ideal but do you think I'll be fine if I do it? Parents won't take me to the dentist for it.

I just scraped it off with a pick and wipe my teeth with a towel
