duolingos pretty bad tbh jsut a reward system and has been proven to not be a good tool for learning languages (for the masses)
yeah duolingo is horrible
a guy learned 7+ years of japanese in duolingo and cant even write a full sentence.

I’m German and apparently it’s one of the hardest languages to learn. The grammar is really different than any other language

ive heard that but thats in general for english speakers its typically not extremely difficult because of the similarities

Wow thats brutal. I take French but only have to do it 3yrs so next year is my last.

I was planning on picking up turkish again on duolingo, but what do u think i should use instead?

almost every serious language learner jsut immerses themself. Change ur shows to the language (with sub ofc), listen to music and don't get hardstuck on grammar

Hmmm I personally don’t really see that many similarities. But you can try if you want.
“Most people find that within six months they'll be able to have small talk and daily conversations and doing easy things like ordering food, making a short phone call, etc. Within 2-3 years of studying, they'll be able to work in German”
Found this on google

I used to have French for 5 years total in school and I’m still so shit at it. Can’t even say 1 full sentence

you will never speak a language like a native except if you are the 1% that are talented for languages

dont learn it you will loose your time
