Dumb question incoming:
I am trying to become lean before school starts (31 days), is it possible?
I was thinking of cutting down my strength training and doing tons of cardio in order to get lean.
My bf level is getting me depressed ffs

What do you think?

do strength training and eat in a slight caloric deficit, that way you still will look muscular. as long as you’re consuming less calories than your daily maintenance you’ll lose weight. also consider doing a water fast for like 3-4 days before you go to school to look cut af for the first day.

Stop doing cardio and only do strength training and reduce caloric intake. That way you will get lean and have muscle, while if you do only cardio and cut u will be auschwitzmaxxed

I didnt want to go on a deficit because I dont want to stunt my growth from eating less. But I guess its worth it

Tbh if you're a beginner you can do strength training and stay at caloric maintenance and gain muscle + lose fat at the same time, especially if you're in puberty. Eat well, sleep well, reduce stress, be smart about your training, get a personal trainer if you're serious about it

Could I lose like 4% bf in 1 month with your advice?

Eh, idk, probably if you stay in a deficit, and if you're in deficit for 1 month i don't think your growing can be stunted, maybe if you are for longer periods

You have to be in an overall deficit to cut weight. Continuing to lift, and eating enough protein will make it more likely you will maintain you muscle while cutting.

Adding some easy cardio will just burn additional calories, plus it's good for you.

500 cal deficit from maintenance calories=1 lb of fat loss a week.

Continue lifting phaggot

Do both, I used to think that Cardio is better, but you need to mix both if you want to keep your muscles,
and also swim for best results (you burn ton shit of calories from swimming)

Had no idea swimming did thaat much! I was already gonna swim for my clavicles, now its even better

1 hour of swimming+30 minutes of muscle training+caloric deficit+omad/fasted training+low carb = great results
don't forget to take Creatine (you will gain water weight from creatine, but it's only water and doesn't effect fat loss, but in fact you will lose more indirectly because of better performance and more muscle)

and Whey protein for muscle synthesis at the end of your workout
