Should I take lyrica?

I’ve been taking lyrica acutely in stressful social environments which I got from the Internet. Recently My doctor gave me a prescription and wants me to take lyrica chronically (Daily). I don`t see the reason why i would do this as i´m not In stressful social situations Daily. What`s your thoughts? Acutely or chronically? Should i listen to doc, or is he clueless?

yeah since it works pretty quick you dont need to take it every day if you really only do feel the need for it in stressful social situations
