Silicone, PEEK and titanium implants - Why do people hate Silicone?

Ive been wondering why most people like to get away from silicone implants and go for instead PEEK or titanium implants, is there actually any reasons for this or just for some other purpose?

Dr eppley for example has done a shit ton of cases and their results dont look bad at all, why would people want to instead go for titanium or PEEK when someone like Dr eppley does silicone mostly thus not being able to work with him (correct me if im wrong, if he does uses titanium since ik he does PEEK)?

Because they erode the bone, and I changed my mind about that after seeing enough evidence.

Here is a case of a 1-year old silicone chin implant, screw fixated, which we corrected at Giant with my special invention: Hybrid Titanium Bone Graft Cage + Chin Implant.

In 1 year the silicone eroded 8-9mm into the chin, almost the entire size of the implant.

Silicone is a cheap and problematic material.

PEEK and Titanium are high end and less problematic.

We use those because if theres a better option we will use it.

All surgeries are potentially problematic and cause some level of irreversible harm.
