Welcome to my guide on how to make money in the easiest way through YouTube Shorts in 2026.

I’ll teach you the objectively best way to spend your time, and I’ll show PROOF (screenshots) of my studio.

Important warning: there is obviously a big luck factor in social media so DON’T put all your eggs in one basket with this one, should only spend max 1-2 hours a day on this and don’t just expect to instantly make 10k a month.

I made 30k in the span of 28 days through my niche as seen below:

1769308508628

The most important thing to remember is the niche is the commodity and believe it or not there are still a decent amount of unsaturated niches in YouTube shorts even in 2025/26.

How to find a niche:
Hands down the easiest way is to search TikTok/Instagram/Reddit and straight up rip a few channels. Most of us are already addicted to scrolling anyways so might as well passively find content to repost.

You can also take a look at all of these other popular randoms printing thousands and thousands a month just stealing content:
https://www.youtube.com/@RoganShorts/shorts
https://www.youtube.com/@DrDonutTwo/shorts
https://www.youtube.com/@Wenkercommenter/shorts
https://www.youtube.com/@KenClipsEdit/shorts

Obviously these are super saturated but it's just to give an example of what you want to do. I will not go into the editing bit because sometimes you can straight up just download and reupload, otherwise it should not be rocket science to port landscape into portrait or just shorten videos.

Copyright issues:
ALWAYS make videos 59 seconds or less
, this will bypass automatic demonetization/warning because of a YouTube Shorts policy:

1769308508635

This is what a short under 1:00 looks like when it has copyrighted material, this does not mean it's impossible to get a strike, but if it's not a specific kind of content there's a 99% chance you will be completely fine. (especially music, that will never be the problem) as long as you are sub 60 seconds. Almost every short will have this since you likely have non royalty free music, it's nothing to worry about.

Also videos over a minute tend to get no retention due to the average YouTube short's user's attention span being fried, so this is a two birds with one stone solution.

Another important thing is
don’t panic when a video is "partially blocked”
1769308508647

This is what it will look like, make sure to check which territories the short is banned in.
1769308508654

9 times out of 10 it's only blocked in Russia, which is not important so just pretend like it's not there.

Main reasons for strikes/warnings:
Community guidelines, YouTube is pretty strict when it comes to their guidelines. I wouldn't post anything that can be thought of as sexual as that is how I got my only warning. Also racism is very bad, don't put the N word at all even if its not the hard R, wouldn’t risk. Any racism at all is not worth it.
I got one strike (which I will go into in a bit), from a photographer. I clipped one of their photoshoots. Try not to rip things that are already going to be posted onto YouTube/exist on YouTube by semi successful creators who might have the tools to strike you. Kind of needs to be a play by play decision but in general common sense is king (I was just retarded).

Automation:
Believe it or not the most annoying thing FOR ME ended up being scheduling videos, uploading them is pretty annoying and time consuming and setting everything takes time. It is 100% free with python and the YouTube API V3. It is extremely easy to set up so I will just link how to do it (you can also just ask ChatGPT, that's how I learned and it took me less than an hour to get it full running.)

How to setup YouTube V3 API and Python script:

YOU CAN ALSO ASK CHATGPT FOR YOUR OWN CUSTOM SCRIPT IF YOU WANT A GUI OR OTHER FUNCTIONALITY.

Google (YouTube V3) API:

https://console.cloud.google.com/

Keep in mind if you are so bad at tech that you cant get this to work, just upload manually its not that big of a deal.

How much should you post:
You shouldn't be posting a lot especially when you are starting out because YouTube only allocates a certain amount of views to your content as they are testing it. An influx of videos all at once will eat each others testing period and never let enough people see it for it to go GIGA VIRAL. Try to post like 2-3 times a day at first and if you see fit make changes, max once every few hours I really wouldn't overdo it.

Tagging videos:
From my experience, tagging video is not that important but it can't hurt to do it.

REPOSTING FLOPS:
One very interesting thing I noticed when I accidently reposted the same IDENTICAL video twice, one video got 14 million views while the other only got 4k. If you have a video you really believe in, no harm in trying to reupload it as it may randomly gain traction.

Helps but not necessary:
When starting this process getting monetized is the hardest part, if you already have a dead old channel with monetization use that. Obviously most people don’t have that but I would highly recommend using a channel YOU USE (watching, liking, commenting, linked to an older email) YouTube likes to push videos/shorts in general with a “trusted” channel so they know you’re not a bot. Once again, not necessary but will give you a better chance.

Mistakes I made/Warnings:
As stated before I got a warning and a strike on my channel. The warning theoretically shouldn't affect anything but I'm not sure. My reach for sure dropped after I got my strike thought, I dropped to only around 5k a month, so it kind of kills your reach. Additionally it's super unpredictable and highly luck so who even knows. Just don’t be scared to get striked, it's pretty rare. I'm just dumb/unlucky/fog of the future.

Final advice:
No harm in trying multiple channels at once.
Retention and hook is king, shorten videos if people aren't watching the entire thing.
I would stay away from Ai generated videos, commenters hate it and YouTube doesn't seem to push it.
Don’t quit, it's a marathon not a sprint.
If something isn't working for a long time, no harm in switching niches.
The best time to start was 4 years ago but the second best time is today. (yes I mean today go post a video RIGHT NOW)
Good luck

Now I'm 19 years old with 50k (before taxes) rotting in my bank account… Might get a Canthoplasty, if I do I will post the results on this account too.

If you have any questions I will be happy to answer, just don’t be a moron and ask for a niche to try (THATS YOUR ONLY JOB).

well I make a fair amount of money a month, so I can afford it, and its not really a waste because the tripod is going to last for the next 2-3 years

Well iam looking at it as an area of growth, ive had two sponsorships somehow without really trying. Just the idea of being a YouTuber and what it brings to the table is enough for me, (networking, filmmaking, etc.)

and the added popularity is a nice touch lmao :feelshah:, I only have 900 subscribers but I had three people come up to me and talk to me about my channel, all at random places and TWO DIFFERENT CITIES

Read bro, I said your ONLY JOB is to find a good niche don't ask for one. As I said I'm not making original content I'm clipping various other content on various platforms and porting to YouTube Shorts. (The idea of good quality content should be removed from your brain, getting views is the only motive and trash slop often turns out to be the best avenue of profit, even in other business like food and movies/tv)

you rip pieces from others vids and turn it into a 'short' and make 30k per month? That's a hell of a lot more than a surgeon or something, right?

So like, just cut a 55 second piece from a funny joe rogan vid or something?

no, not quite as saturated as tiktok and instagram. there are still niches that I see on tiktok that are not yet ported onto youtube

joe rogan is already saturated but yes, also for a podcast clip it should probably be shorter than 55 seconds unless its extremely captivating

what about this, though. Unless i'm reading it wrong.

"To earn money, you must join the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), accept the Shorts Monetization Module, and meet specific thresholds (1,000 subscribers + 10M Shorts views in 90 days or 4k long-form hours)."

so it might take a year or whatever to even get an account that you can actually monetize?

yea you gotta get monetized, 10m views is only like a thousand dollars worth of views, 1k subs would come passively with that.

You can also take a look at all of these other popular randoms printing thousands and thousands a month just stealing content:
https://www.youtube.com/@RoganShorts/shorts
https://www.youtube.com/@DrDonutTwo/shorts
https://www.youtube.com/@Wenkercommenter/shorts
https://www.youtube.com/@KenClipsEdit/shorts

Obviously these are super saturated but it's just to give an example of what you want to do. I will not go into the editing bit because sometimes you can straight up just download and reupload, otherwise it should not be rocket science to port landscape into portrait or just shorten videos.

Copyright issues:
ALWAYS make videos 59 seconds or less
, this will bypass automatic demonetization/warning because of a YouTube Shorts policy:

View attachment 4577514

This is what a short under 1:00 looks like when it has copyrighted material, this does not mean it's impossible to get a strike, but if it's not a specific kind of content there's a 99% chance you will be completely fine. (especially music, that will never be the problem) as long as you are sub 60 seconds. Almost every short will have this since you likely have non royalty free music, it's nothing to worry about.

Also videos over a minute tend to get no retention due to the average YouTube short's user's attention span being fried, so this is a two birds with one stone solution.

Another important thing is
don’t panic when a video is "partially blocked”
View attachment 4577515

This is what it will look like, make sure to check which territories the short is banned in.

Maybe if this was 2020 this would work

As I said I'm not making original content I'm clipping various other content on various platforms and porting to YouTube Shorts. (The idea of good quality content should be removed from your brain, getting views is the only motive and trash slop often turns out to be the best avenue of profit, even in other business like food and movies/tv)

money? I put a couple friends onto it but they are lazy, they got a couple vids with 200k+ views and quit. Really depends on the niche and if you are consistent, not consistently wasting time, but at least putting in slight effort to schedule videos out. To answer the question I would say you could make at minimum hundreds a month and if you are making good content 1k+ a month. Should be treated as side hustle tbf I was pretty damn lucky to get a 30k month.

The most important thing to remember is the niche is the commodity and believe it or not there are still a decent amount of unsaturated niches in YouTube shorts even in 2025/26.

yes but takes forever to do by hand, much easier to save up videos into a folder and python with YouTube V3 API to just do it for you.

i kinda already got monetized before I started this from niche gaming 1k sub channel. but very easy after I hit 4k watch hours 1k subs I think it took 1-2 days for it to start running ads (you need to be 18 btw at the time I had my mom made an AdSense account cause I was like 15 JFL) its in my name now tho.

i have noticed time of day does not matter, I could post a video at 1am then randomly a day later it blows up at 5pm. I think hashtags in the title can have an effect but desc seems to not matter.
