What does slugging mean? My skin is looking more flaky and rough the forehead seems more oily. It looks worse than before starting Tret? Did this happen to you?
The exact same thing happened to me when I started, it took a few weeks to resolve. Now skin looks much smoother.
Skin looked horrible 1 to 1.5 months into the treatment, now its looking godlike. Im 28 and dont look too far off from high schoolers. Tret 0,1 is so strong that u need vaseline to finish off the moisturizing. that is slugging.
So you’re saying it’s normal for the skin to look worse for the first month or so on 0.1% Tret? So I should start slugging instead of lowering concentration to 0.05%? I notice a lot less flaking with 0.05%
What strength did you use?
Also what’s your daily water intake?
start slugging. slugging is basically using vaseline after all ur products are applied. I struggled with dry skin untill 2 weeks ago when i started to slug my skin. If u want quick results, stick with the 0.1%
i drink 1.5L daily. I dry fast so i know exactly how much water i drink.
Ok so how do I time this? I am using Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer. Should I apply the moisturizer, then apply Tret immediately, then moisturizer and then Vaseline?Or do I need to space out these applications?
Do you think this is enough? I read online that 16 cups is recommended but this seems like a lot

apply moisturizer, wait 30mins, apply tret, wait 30 mins, apply moisturizer, wait 5-10 mins, apply vaseline.
i tried drinking alot more water before, it made me even more dehydrated.
Slugging is nothing more than sealing in the tretinoin with a large amount of vaseline. You don't need a fancy moisturizer to slug.

just apply enough that it dont feel like a slimy mess, i dont apply alot, just apply enough to act as a "shield"
How much stronger is this TRET than like Retional Max Olay. I just started that last night.
im not too well versed on the other percentages, but the strongest tret is 100 times stronger than over the counter retinols. I fought tooth and nail to get a prescription, and finally i did get it. I was just like you. Trying the bullshit retinols which are way too weak to work.
