If your eyes are easily irritated, get red or are sensitive to scents etc. etc. You may suffer from DRY EYE SYNDROME.
And if you do, the following skincare ingredients may aggravate your condition and are best avoided:
1. Tretinoin/Vitamin A
Topical VItamin A has been shown to have a negative effect on Dry Eye Syndrome by affecting the meibomian glands along your eyelids.
2. (Chemical) SUNSCREEN
Sunscreen doesn't belong anywhere near your eyeball. Especially CHEMICAL sunscreen which will basically migrate right into your eye and irritate it even more. Zinc oxide is more suitable.
3. Strongly scented skincare in general
Sadly, most skincare comes with scent and that can irritate your eyes further, exacerbating symptoms of dry eyes. Try to shop for UNSCENTED products specifically.
As always, for professional medical advice consult with an ophthalmologist or other MD.
I will add additional information to this thread.
