Skincare ideas?

I don’t know if I can fix this, but I have resting smile lines, and want to fix them. I also get acne sometimes, and have red cheeks—

Currently I do
1. Shower-
A. CeraVe Facial Cleanser
B. Acne exfoliater
C. LRP Hydrating gentle cleanser
2. Timeless Hyauloronic Acid
~let sit until dry
3. LRP Double Repair Face Moisturizer

I’ve been on accutane from September 2024-March 2025, it worked but now I get acne sometimes.

I need a good program to not breakout and get glass skin, I know part of it is genetics.

I do this skincare routine every night.

cut out the showers, rub beef tallow on your face every night.

isotretinoin + topical tretinoin, SPF every 3 hours if outside

there's no fixing 'smile lines'
'glass skin' will just make you look zesty.

stop stacking so many products on your face and exfoliate every 2-3 days instead of everyday and if you're on accutane you probably dont need to be using 2 cleansers just moisturize and gentle cleanser to ensure skin doesnt dry out or build gunk

dude if you still get acne after taking accutane for that long you probably didnt reach a high enough total dose. you need to run it again probably, consult with a derm. also your routine has too much of certain stuff (cleansers) and not enough of other things (strong exfoliants and acne-friendly spf 50 cream), it should also include the mornings.

I suggest this:
Morning:
1. antibacterial face wash
2. effaclar H
3. uvmune 400 or a similar quality spf cream
apply all of these face-wide
Evening:
1. antibacterial face wash
2. epiduo (idela, combo of benzoyl peroxide and adapalene, a topical retinoid) or akneroxid (just benzoyl peroxide, less ideal but better than what you have)
also on the whole face

the exfoliating stuff you're using currently is not strong enough for your acne

also your resting smile lines are likely an issue with maxillary recession, not a skin issue as you're young (i assume), so the only way to fix your nasolabial folds is by fixing your maxilla, which will likely require surgery

Thanks, I will probably get back on accutane as I was only taking 40mg/daily, and I don’t know if my maxilla is recessed or not, but later might just have to get surgery- can I send you side profile and you judge ?
